Joining & Code of Conduct

Membership Information:

What are the requirements for membership?
We don’t have any complex ritual hazing process you must go through to join. Generally, our members come to us through member referrals, and for those that don’t, we take the attitude that you can’t really know someone until you’ve given it a go. Generally, a brief interview with one of our official-types will take place and if we think you are a good fit and you feel you would like to join at that juncture, you will be inducted into the guild where we can all figure out if we’re compatible. We’re a pretty laid-back bunch, and generally folks who seek us out work out well, but occasionally in extreme circumstances they are not. We generally do not accept members under the age of 18 without a parent or family member in the guild.

Who should not apply?
We’re here to have fun, and we are not interested in d00ds and drama queens in our mix. We emphasize maturity, tolerance, honor, and humor in gaming. If you have none of these qualities or feel you fall into either of the two categories stated above, then you should probably look elsewhere for a guild.

What is your Code of Conduct?
We aren’t big on rules. We don’t think that the type of player we seek to recruit needs a lot. However, we have two comprehensive ones that we expect all members to abide by. If you encounter a member who is not following these guidelines, we request that you as a fellow guildie let Ni, myself, or an officer know. If you do not abide by them, you may be removed from the guild. We know that everyone makes mistakes, but cronic offenders are in the wrong guild.

You should conduct yourself with:

1) A Sense of Honor: This means no grief play, including chest/mine/plant ganking, ninja-looting, excessive corpse-camping, baiting unwilling players into PvP, rude conduct in groups, berating others whether you see it as appropriate or not, profanity, sexual harassment, racial/religious remarks, or excessive greed.

2) A Sense of Humor: Keep drama, religion, politics, locker-room chat (profanity/vulgarity) out of guild chat and avoid it with others. Give people the benefit of the doubt.

In addition, spamming, begging, and ALLCAPS are not appropriate in guild chat. Avoid d00d and l33t sp34k. (This includes excessive abbreviation. d00d u r not 4 us)

Basically, play nice with others, and realize that when you wear our tag you represent us. Do so with pride, and have fun!

Who do I contact/where do I post if I’d like to join?
You should post in the forum associated with the game you are playing. Because we are a multi-MMO group, contacts vary from game to game. If you would like specific information with regards to whom you might be talking to, send a personal message to Ni or Awi’tch on the forums. Please be patient if folks don’t respond immediately. Although we are usually very prompt, many of us have busy lives.
