Info for new WoW members
and welcome to the guild! If you have any questions or problems, please look up a Bridgekeeper or King in game, or send a personal message to Awi’tch or Ni on the forums.
You should have read it when you applied, but please review the Code of Conduct. We take it seriously. You are expected to too. We want to know if you encounter a member who is not in the interest of keeping everyone’s gaming experience pleasant, so please let us know if you have a negative experience. Your help is greatly appreciated!
Also, please review the information on Questing Guidelines and Standard Loot Rules. Part of our committment to honorable play is being a good group member and we are very need-before-greed oriented. Familiarizing yourself with standard loot rules (which are those honored by most groups on the server in general) will help avoid problems and is just a good idea. We would like for guild members to be able to expect to have a good experience in a guild group, and hope that members reflect well on us when grouping with others.
Raid Information for larger raids such as Molten Core can be found here. Please note that it is assumed when you sign up for a raid that requires attunement that you are attuned. Getting flagged for these instances is your responsibility! Often, others also need to do the quests so use the quest forums and sign-up sheets to form/find groups! Also, please be aware that for certain encounters that are particularly gear-dependant (the second half of Molten Core) we may put limitations on the number of new raiders that we allow to attend. This is done out of pragmatism, and we try and be as inclusive as possible. We need and appreciate your understanding of this practical reality.
What is a Kniggit in game, and why am I a Squire? Squire is the entry level rank. When you join, you enter a probationary period during which time we are assessing if you are a good fit as a member. You may be removed from the guild if there are complaints about your conduct or it is determined that you are not. (Normally we warn players who are problematic but if there are issues with you within the first month you may be removed without warning.) Assuming no complaints or concerns after a month, you will advance to Kniggit. This basically indicates that you are a member in good standing. If you have been around longer than a month and we haven’t boosted your status, please contact us. Generally it’s just an oversight.
Can I add an alt to the guild? The roster stops displaying avatars at 500 and thus we limit the number of alts we allow in the guild. Once you advance to Kniggit status you may add one often played alt to the main guild. (No AH mules, etc. please!) We also have an alt-guild which at this time has no limits on the number of alts you may have in it. Just ask if anyone can add your alt to Moose!
Because we do have our characters spread between two guilds, we ask that you continue to use the Ni channel in game to connect with players in the other group. Don’t forget to /join ni
Do we have a guild bank? Yes. Information on what is available can be found in the Book of Armaments. Ni has posted a list of items he is currently accepting. We collect high-end BOE set pieces, recipes/patterns/formulae, ZG coins, Libram and class books, and other Rare+ items folks want to donate for redistribution to other members. We try and have regular giveaways. Please don’t send us all of your green or lower drops. While we appreciate the donations, we just don’t have room! Try giving them away in guild chat! Please ask before you buy those set items, and thanks a ton in advance for your donations!! Ask a Bridgekeeper or King for the mule name. We also have a guild mule that provides quest items for quests such as the Greens Hills of Stranglethorn Vale quest, warrior weapon quest, and mining quests (Rethban & Indurium ore). Mail Strangy in game with your requests and donations.
Finally, please PM Awi’tch or Ni to get your forums posting status upgraded so that you can see the other private forums we have available to you.
Thanks for reading and again… welcome!
